Job interview: How do you handle conflicts with coworkers?
In my experience, conflicts can arise in any workplace, and it's importanct to address them in a consturctive and professional manner. When faced with a conflict, i usually try to approach the situation by first listening to the other person's perspective and concerns.
By understnading their point of view, i can better understnad where they're coming from and work towards finding a solution that works for both of us.
For example, in my previous job, there was a disagreement between my colleague and me regarding how to approach a project.
We both had different ideas about the best way to proceed, and tensions were starting to rise.
I suggested that we sit down together and talk through each of our ideas in detail. During our discussion, i made a conscious effort to listen actively to my colleague's perspective and try to see things from their point of view.
Through our conversation, we were able to identify the key differences in our approaches and come up with a compromise that incorporated elements of both our ideas. By working together, we were able to successfully complete the project on time and to a high standard.
Overall, i believe that the key to resolving conflicts is to approach them with an open mind and a willingness to listen to others. By doing so, you can build trust and understanding, which can lead to better communication and more effective collaboration in the future.
